Our team: Stefan Wasserbauer, David Lindlbauer, Alexandra Ion are currently working on a MIDI Controller for mulitmedia installations and audio/video live performances.
This project is our semester project for the winter semester of 2008.
The first controllers are implemented in C#, sending MIDI via the librarys from Leslie Sanford. The tracking uses the TouchLib from the NUI Group
Here are the first pictures of testing the tracking:
On the 21th of January 09 we tried the gesture recognition on a Diamond touch. We use the recoginition to make new control elements on the interface, simply by drawing basic shapes (squares, circle,…) or letters (b,s…), which gives a quick workflow.

hab gerade gesehen dass ihr leider noch viel zu wenig views auf youtube habt und wollte euch nur versichern dass es durchaus leute gibt die interesse am source code hätten ;-) falls ihr überhaupt noch plant ihn zu veröffentlichen. wirklich sehr sehr cool, eigentlich hätte ich ja von cdm erwartet, auf euer projekt aufmerksam gemacht zu werden!

Die Veröffentlichung ist ein bissl ins Stocken geraten, da der Code aufgeräumt gehört, sodass sich wer anderer darin zurecht findet. Im Zuge dessen war es meine Absicht ein paar Feinschliffe bis zu gröberen Änderungen vorzunehmen.
(Vieleicht auch eine Portierung auf Mac)
Aber wenn du Interesse hast, bin ich gern bereit es mit dir “durchzuackern”.

At the moment, there’s no further development on the application, so there’s no release date (now).
The market for multitouch displays is in a big rush with lots of different platforms, hence we are looking which one emerges best for this application. Due limited time we can’t afford experiments with various platforms and have to concentrate on one.
So there are no news at the moment.
But hey, you’ll be one of the first ones who will get informed when there is something new with Kontrollwerk… ;)

Are you going to release the code as open source? I’m not a programmer but I would like to incorporate the technology into my workflow. I am planning to build a multitouch screen using ccv, but as you should know no djing software nor DAW (as I understand) support miltitouch input. This is the perfect solution.
Also, if it is of your interest I could design (or gather a team to do so) visually appealing graphics for the proyect. Feel free to email.

Wäre nicht abgeneigt, wenn ihr den SourceCode doch mochmal freigeben würdet: ;) Bin momentan auf der suche nach ejnem guten Multitouch Midi Controller und die Videos auf YouTube von euch haben mich echt überzeugt.
Ich und viele andere würden sich sicherlich sehr über ein Release freuen.
